PhD Student Reorientation 2025
Project Type
Graphic Design, Marketing & Branding, Communications
Date
February 2025
Client
Northwestern University: Northwestern Career Advancement, The Graduate School (Evanston, IL)
Role
Solo Designer, Brand Consultant, Social Media Manager, Event Support
This event was an opportunity for PhD students to re-engage with campus partners and resources they may not have interacted with since the TGS New Student Resource Fair at their first-year Orientation. During the reorientation, students participated in a facilitated self-assessment workshop and learned about programming opportunities and resources that would support their success in graduate school and beyond. All attendees also received a digital copy of the PhD Student Reorientation Campus Partner Resource Guide.
For this program, I designed the event logo and accompanying brand kit, day-of signage (some printed in-house, some I coordinated with a local print shop), social media graphics, and the resource guide. Leading up to the day, I promoted the event in The Graduate School's weekly e-newsletter to graduate students and on our social media platforms. During the event, I took photos to share on our Instagram stories and LinkedIn.
